iPhone Apps Keep Crashing After iOS 17 Update? 7 Best Fixes

Some users have complained that some of the apps are randomly crashing on their iPhone after iOS 17 update. This problem can happen due to connection issues, setting malfunction, apps not being updated, lack of storage and some other software malfunctions. In this article, I’ll show you some easy ways you can follow to fix app keeps crashing problem on iPhone after iOS 17 update. Let’s check out the process.

1. Make sure you have enough storage space

One of the main reason behind app crashing after iOS 17 (iOS 17.1.1 update) is lack of enough storage. Make sure your iPhone has at least 5 gigabyte of free storage, or at least two to three gigabyte of storage. Otherwise, the iPhone won’t work properly and app will keep crashing. To check your available iPhone storage, Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. If your iPhone has enough storage, then check out the next solutions.

2. Make sure your apps are up-to-date

After updating your software, you need to make sure all your apps are up to date. If the apps have pending updates, then it might cause the problem. To fix this, open App Store and then tap on your profile. Scroll down and you will see how many apps you need to update. You can update the apps individually, or update all at once. Simply tap Update All and it should fix the app crashing after iOS 17 update issue.

3. Force restart your iPhone

Sometimes this problem can happen due to minor software glitches, so give your iPhone a force restart. It can fix your problem. To force restart your iPhone: press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

4. Make sure you are not using iOS beta software

Keep in mind, if you’re running an iOS beta software, some apps won’t work properly on your iPhone, especially bank apps or apps dealing with money transaction,. These apps will crash at random as they are not compatible with beta iOS. In that case, you need to start using the regular iOS software and it should fix the problem.

5. Offload and reinstall apps that keeps crashing

If you are having problem with a specific app and not all of your apps, then you can offload that app to clear cache and cookies from it and it can fix the app crashing after iOS 17 update problem. To do this: open the settings app on your iPhone. Go to general. Tap iPhone storage. Now, scroll down and select the app you are having problem with. Now, tap offload app. Tap offload app again to confirm. Now reinstall the app. You can do this for multiple apps and it will fix your app crash problem on iPhone after iOS 17 update.

6. Update iOS

If the iOS 17 is buggy- or there is a problem that is causing apps to crash, you need to wait for the new iOS 17 update for your iPhone. So check if there are any pending iOS update or not. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. Now, if there is a pending update, download and install it, and it should fix your problem.

7. Delete and reinstall crashing apps

If you are still having problem with some specific apps, you can delete the apps, then reinstall them again and it can fix the issue. To do this, tap and hold the app you want to delete. Tap remove app. Finally, tap delete app.
