Having a smartphone is great, but having a phone not receiving calls is not smart. Being unable to receive calls on your iPhone 12 mini doesn’t sound right since that is the primary function of a phone, so when your iPhone 12 mini is unable to receive calls it is expected that you’ll be desperate for a solution.

To fix your iPhone 12 mini not receiving calls, you have to understand the nature of the problem. Is iPhone 12 mini not ringing? Do you see incoming calls but can’t pick? Is the network reception good? Answers to these questions will inform you of the nature of the problem (software/hardware) and the next step to take to fix it.
What do you do if you get an important call? When your iPhone 12 mini is unable to receive calls, you can try to fix The problem yourself by following the tips explained below.

Fix iPhone 12 mini not receiving calls

Turn airplane mode on and off

On your iPhone, turn on Airplane Mode: Go to Settings > Airplane Mode, wait about 30 seconds and then turn it off.

Check do not disturb

Have a look at your do not disturb settings. If it’s on, switch it back off. Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb.

Check call forwarding

Check your call forwarding settings by going to Settings > Phone > Call forwarding. If it’s turned on, shut it to resume receiving calls on your device.

Check for blocked numbers

There’s also a chance that if a person is trying to get a hold of you and can’t their number might be blocked accidentally. You can adjust these settings by heading to Settings > Phone > Call blocking & identification.

Check the Ring/Silent Switch

Have a look at the left side of your device. Check to see if the small switch is set to silent – it will show an orange color.
Toggle to turn off silent mode.

Check Ringing Volume

Head to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
Check the volume under Ringer and Alerts.

Check Silence Unknown Callers

Go to Settings > Phone.
If it says ON next to Silence Unknown Callers, Tap on Silence Unknown Callers and then toggle the switch to OFF.

Restart iPhone

follow these steps to Restart your iPhone:
Press and hold the volume up (or down) button and the side button together until the power off slider appears on your screen. Drag the slider from left to right. Wait about 30 seconds for your iPhone to completely turn off. And then press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Make sure you have Cellular network

Do you see “No service” or “Searching” in the status bar of your device? If this is the case, then try:
See if you have signal. Receiving a phone call require that you have a cellular signal. Make sure that you’re in an area with cellular network coverage. Go to another location and try there to get calls.
Disable, wait 10 seconds, and then enable cellular data by heading to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data.

Check your Sim card

If you have a SIM card, ensure that it is properly inserted. Try removing and then reinserting it. Doing so is simple. Simply locate the SIM tray, next to the tray there is a hole, insert your SIM-eject tool (when you bought your iPhone, the packaging included this tool, if you lost it you can use a paperclip) into the hole. The tray will pop up. Then you can remove the SIM card. See also: iPhone No SIM Card Installed
