See this article if flashlight is not working. If the flashlight works, continue with the following troubleshooting steps.

Remove any case or film that might block the flash

If you are using a Case to protect your iOS device, ensure that Case is not blocking your iPhone’s camera.

Check your flash settings

Make sure you set the flash to On or Automatic in the Camera app. Here is how:

Open Camera app, click on the flash icon , then click On to turn on flash. If ‘Auto’ is selected, your iPhone will automatically detect lighting conditions and determine if flash is necessary.

Check and close if another active app is using the camera

The camera can only be accessed by one app at a time. Close the app that is using the camera and try again. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the app switcher, find the app, and swipe up to close it.

Restart your iPhone

Many software problems and bugs can be fixed by simply restarting the device. This effectively resets some of the temporary settings that cause apps and features to malfunction.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and either of the volume buttons until the power off slider appears. Drag the power slider from left to right to turn off your iPhone. To turn the phone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo.

Perform a hard reset

A basic restart sometimes isn’t enough to fix a problem. In some cases, you may need to do what’s known as a hard reset, which is essentially a more powerful reset. Don’t worry; you won’t lose any personal data through restarting. Here’s how:
Press and release the volume up button, press and release volume down button, then press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset the iPhone settings

This process is not as dramatic as it sounds, as it doesn’t erase your personal data or apps. Rather, it resets the iPhone to its default settings, something which may get the iPhone 12 Pro flash working again.

Head to Settings > General > Reset > select Reset All Settings option.

This step will not delete any data from your iPhone, but it will delete your WiFi Network Password and disconnect your iPhone from the internet.

After iPhone restarts, you will be required to join WiFi Network by entering your WiFi Network Password.

Restore the iPhone to a previous backup

Restoring an iPhone from a backup is a relatively easy way to repair lost or corrupted data, which may be the reason the iPhone 12 Pro flash feature is not working.

Restore the iPhone to factory settings

This is a more extreme, time-consuming solution that should resolve a faulty flashlight feature. If not, you are almost certainly dealing with a hardware problem.

A factory reset deletes the data on your iPhone, so it is critical that you back up your data before performing a factory reset. Go to settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

Update iOS

There are high chances of flash not working on iPhone 12 Pro due to the outdated and unstable version of iOS. So fix the problem by updating your device.
Go to [Settings] > [General] > [Software Updates] and update your iPhone to the latest iOS version.

Contact Apple support

Some users may find that the camera flash does not work even when Flash setting is enabled. This is a hardware problem, so you need to contact Apple or take the phone to a licensed repair outlet. If your iPhone is still under warranty, you should be able to have it repaired for free.

It’s best not to attempt to fix the camera flash yourself since doing so could invalidate any warranty you have on the phone. It may also worsen the problem.
